Beginning nearly 40 years ago in Newfoundland, NJ, our practice has long been a reputable family-owned and operated professional practice.
Founded by Dr. Marc and Dr. Paul Levinson, they expanded the center and opened a second location in Scotch Plains, NJ - one year after that first opening in Newfoundland. In February of 2023, Dr. Andrew Savitz, a resident of Scotch Plains, purchased the practice from the Levinson brothers. He continues to carry on the standard that the practice has become known for and treats patients with the same mindset and compassion as Dr. Marc and Dr. Paul. The Levinson brothers are now excited to continue their careers at the Eye Care Center of North Jersey while getting to spend more time with their own families.
Fellow Scotch Plains resident Dr. Marla Mackey has been seeing patients in the practice for nearly two decades and continues to offer top-notch eye care to the community. Many of our staff members have been working in the practice for over 20 years and enjoy seeing lots of the same familiar faces every year when our long-term patients return to the office.
Ever since the beginning, we have been devoted to providing quality medical care and optical services to our local community. Dr. Savitz looks forward to continuing this level of care and dedication to this community for years to come!
