Dr. Andrew Savitz

Dr. Savitz has served as a primary care optometrist for patients of all ages, with over a decade of experience at private practices. In 2014, he founded his first practice and subsequently went on to own and operate the Eye Care Center of North Jersey.  Dr. Savitz has extensive experience managing glaucoma, macular degeneration, and various other ocular diseases. He is a New Jersey native and is passionate about delivering the highest quality of care to his patients. In his spare time, Dr. Savitz enjoys exercising and spending time with his wife and children.

Dr. Savitz received his Bachelors in General Sciences from Penn State University in State College, PA and went on to earn his Doctorate from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University where he graduated with clinical honors in primary care, specialty contact lenses, and ocular disease management.

Fun Fact: Being from his hometown of Freehold, NJ, Dr. Savitz is a huge Bruce Springsteen fan and has attended over 20 of his concerts! He’s also a big NY Rangers enthusiast!

Dr. Marla Mackey

Dr. Mackey has been working as an optometric physician for nearly 20 years with a concentration in ocular disease, low vision, and children’s eye examination. She rejects a one-size-fits-all service mentality and approaches each patient ready to listen with attunement to their needs. As a woman in a predominantly male field, she holds tightly to a philosophy built on perseverance and has long been committed to continual learning and staying up-to-date with the newest and best eye care technology. Outside of the office, you can find her gardening, cooking, mentoring young medical students, or cheering on her children with her husband at their sporting events.

Before becoming an optometric physician, Dr. Mackey received a B.S. in Biology from Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ. From there she went on to the Illinois College of Optometry where she earned her B.S. in Visual Science and Doctor of Optometry. Dr. Mackey continued her optometric training through residency at West Side VA Medical Center/Hines Blind Rehabilitation Center in Chicago, IL. and fellowship at Corneal Associates of New Jersey in West Orange, NJ.

Fun Fact: Dr. Mackey was a cheerleader in college, PTA President at Brunner Elementary school, and an avid Devils fan…(yes, we always enjoy some friendly office rivalry.)

Dr. Marc Levinson

Dr. Levinson originally opened our practice alongside his two brothers. For over three decades he has served the community by providing quality and personal eye care with a concentration on visually related learning problems in children.  His interest in this concentration stemmed from witnessing firsthand the correlation between vision problems and learning challenges – with this he has devoted much of his working life to improving the quality of life and learning in those with eye care needs. Outside of the practice, Levinson enjoys traveling with his wife and two adult children, golfing, and playing tennis.

Dr. Levinson earned his B.S. in Psychology from Queens College and his Doctor of Optometry from the State University of New York College of Optometry.

Fun Fact: Dr. Marc & Dr. Paul Levinson are identical twins. They once had a patient guess every time she came into the office whether he was Dr. Marc or Dr. Paul.  It took her 15 years before she guessed correctly!

Dr. Paul Levinson

Dr. Paul Levinson and his brothers opened the practice at its advent – over 30 years later and he’s still learning and caring for patients. Levinson specializes in difficult-to-fit contact lenses, including lenses for astigmatism correction and bifocal lenses. He also provides pre and post-operative care for Lasik (refractive surgery) patients. Something unique about Dr. Paul is he sees patients from all over (Pennsylvania, Florida, California, and even Mexico City) and he works to understand their lifestyles so he can determine how to best treat them. Outside of work, Levinson enjoys golf, tennis, traveling, and being involved in philanthropic efforts for the Deborah Heart and Lung Center. He is a proud husband and parent to two adult daughters.

Dr. Levinson holds a B.S. in Biology from Queens College and a Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry. He has also taken several advanced post-graduate courses in Laser Vision correction. He has Board of Optometry certification in, and is licensed for the use of, diagnostic and pharmaceutical agents, having completed requisite courses in therapeutic pharmacology and management of ocular disease.

Fun Fact: Dr. Paul & Dr. Marc Levinson might be a case to help prove twin telepathy because they shared the exact same fun fact!
